We provide a number of specialist services from the start to the finish of the year, all designed to ease the time pressures all teachers face. Host employers play a critical role supporting our trainees to make a real contribution in the workplace.

AFL SportsReady trainees can work in any school department, providing additional assistance to teachers, which gives them more time to develop programs and focus on better learning outcomes for your school. Example roles include:

SPORT / OUTDOORS

• Coordinate interstate sports carnivals, camps and recreation programs
• Maintenance of sports and outdoor equipment
• Assist in the delivery of the PE department’s programs and services

OFFICE / ADMINISTRATION

Membership Services Officer

• General administrative support
• Assist with the delivery of membership programs and services
• Assist with outbound call campaigns to obtain member contact information, and other member engagement initiatives, as required.
• Assist with membership management.
• Provide relief and cover Reception area as required.

Administration Officer

• Provide general administrative support to all teams as required
• Assist with taking and delivering messages
• Co-ordinate and administer daily incoming and outgoing mail, including the booking of couriers as required
• Ensure the stationery cupboard is fully stocked, ordering stationery as required
• Assist in preparing/typing up appropriate letters, emails, reports and other correspondence as required
• Ensure timely and appropriate filing within the administration area
• Attendance at match day and other events as required

Merchandise & Retail Assistant

• Deliver top-line customer service
• Operate an efficient and well-presented store
• Coordinate customer orders (phone, over the counter, pre-sale) in a professional and efficient manner
• Engage in customer feedback in regards to pricing, quality and new ideas
• Ensure sales are processed and up-to-date within agreed timelines for reporting purposes
• All Game Day merchandise outlets set up and ready to sell by gate opening times at every home game
