James Nelis came on board the AFL SportsReady train in 2019 as QLD Field Officer. He is a fervent, driven and motivated individual who is passionate about helping young people find their dream careers. James was actually a trainee himself at AFL Queensland (AFLQ) so he knows the industry inside and out. During his traineeship, James studied a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation while working as a Development Officer for the AFLQ Auskick program. He gradually moved up at AFLQ and worked there for more than 8 years. James is excited to help young people on their career journeys just as AFL SportsReady helped his.
