Kickstart 2014 with SportsReady Education
Get the jump on 2014: SportsReady Education’s brand new campus at Victoria Park, home to two Diploma courses starting in March next year.
The Diploma of Sport Development and Diploma of Management courses will be the first direct student courses to be offered at the new facility, which has undergone a major transformation in recent months.
The new facility includes a lecture theatre, IT centre, recreational space and kitchen facilities, all laid out before a view across the heritage Victoria Park site.

Sportsready Education Helps Jarrod Find His Passion
Jarrod Rutley has been a painter, a bricklayer, a contractor for a telecommunications company and has worked in WA’s mines.
But the 26-year-old says while all those jobs gave him valuable experience in the world of work, they all lacked one important ingredient – passion.
“I was sick of labouring jobs, the 7am starts, it wasn’t at all what I wanted to do; I wasn’t at all passionate about it,” said Jarrod.
It was while contemplating his next move that he came across SportsReady Education’s Sport and Recreation studies, an area he had that essential passion for. Now working part-time as a sports coach with Caulfield Grammar and about to complete a Diploma of Sport Development with SportsReady Education, Jarrod said he could see a pathway from his course into a real career.
He is also contemplating taking advantage of SportsReady Education’s exclusive university partnership with La Trobe University, into a Business degree, taking up one of their various sports management streams. The Diploma of Sport Development, which Jarrod began after firstly completing a Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation with SportsReady Education, would give him credit points towards a degree saving both time and money.
For now, he is rapt he has found his passion and is relishing being able to apply his studies with SportsReady Education to his work. “It’s very fulfilling to be able to teach a kid a skill they didn’t have when they started with you and know that you can pass on your own past experiences, knowledge and skills,” Jarrod said.
“If anyone has the interest in this course and the opportunity to do it I would highly recommend it.”
