DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administrative Trainee will be supported through a training program. This will include nationally recognised training and practical work experience to undertake the tasks described in this document efficiently.
The Trainee will be supported in order to develop skills to;
• Deliver a range of administration functions that support Branch/Unit operations.
• Produce data records (electronic and manual) that are up to date, by accurately preparing and entering new information.
• Answer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate and contribute to the Branch/Unit team.
• Contribute to the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practice and processes.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
• Undertake business support for the Branch/Unit which may include preparing letters and contracts, preparing correspondence and collating information.
• Provide efficient and accurate word processing, working in a Windows environment and with Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Undertake a range of record management activities to include accurate data entry.
• Assist with minor research activities.
• Provide a consistent and effective customer service.
• Provide high level culturally appropriate communication, including efficient telephone and email services to all customers and colleagues.
• Maintain a sound knowledge base of the activities performed within Branch/Unit.
• Actively participate in professional development activities.
• Responsible for taking reasonable care for their own and others’ health and safety and not adversely affecting the health and safety of others.
• Responsible for early notification and reporting of workplace hazards, incidents and injuries.

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$4,500 – $5,000

  • National Training Wage Award
  • Fully Funded Qualification

MORE INFORMATION

  • People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
  • This position is best suited to a current secondary school student.
