DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the supervision of Physical Education classes both off
and on campus including swimming, riding bikes on local bike
paths etc.
• Set up and pack away sporting equipment in and around the
sports complex for PE classes and other activities.
• Maintenance, ordering and restocking of the Physical Education
and Sport’s department equipment.
• Assist with at least one camp (one week duration).
• Coach three sport teams (summer, winter and spring). Teams train
twice a week before or after school and play Saturdays.
• Assist/supervise students participating in Friday afternoon
activities and House sport activities.
• Assist with House carnivals and other House competitions such as
Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming etc.
• Other duties that arise throughout the school year.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

It will be an advantage if applicants have the following qualifications:
• First aid (including CPR and anaphylaxis) or be willing to become
qualified.
• Austswim or Swim Australia certificate or be willing to become qualified.
• Pool bronze or be willing to become qualified.
• Coaching qualifications or be willing to become qualified.
• Experience working with children or coaching teams.

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$21,500 – $30,000 plus 11.5% Superannuation

National Training Wage Award
Fully Funded Qualification

MORE INFORMATION

People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
