Graduation season kicks-off

Graduation season gets underway at the end of the month in Tasmania. The ceremonies recognise the hard work, commitment and dedication our trainees and students have shown over the past year and brings together our staff and host employers to formally celebrate their achievements.

It’s also a time when we acknowledge the fantastic support from our host employers who provide our young people with the valuable work experience and skill set to prepare them for their future careers.

AFL SportsReady’s graduations are sponsored by Hostplus, an award-winning industry superannuation fund for those who live and love hospitality, tourism, sport and recreation. They are a major partner for our graduation ceremonies and have partnered with us for over ten years.

Arthur Antonellos, Hostplus Executive Manager of Strategic Partnerships believes the graduations are an integral time of year for everyone involved.

‘We are proud to be supporting Australia’s future leaders. It’s inspiring to see so many young people go through the program and embark on their new exciting career journeys. We are pleased to be partnered with a company that is dedicated to providing career pathways for young people,’ said Mr. Antontellos.

Awards will also be presented including the Trainee of the Year award which will be given to the trainee who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and dedication in their traineeship and has gone above and beyond in their workplace. The Hostplus Rising Start award will also be presented to the trainee who has shown most potential and growth in their role.

Graduates should be proud of their achievements and we encourage everybody to get along and celebrate a year of hard work. Below are the dates for each of our graduation ceremonies:

Don’t forget you can join the fun from home as we will be going LIVE on Facebook capturing the highlights of the evening. We will be sending out reminders on the night so you can tune in at the right time.

All our graduates have built some great networks throughout their journey so if you’re a former trainee stay connected by joining our Alumni. Membership is free but please register your details again by clicking here.

We wish the class of 2017 every success as they embark on the next stage of their career.
