The First Nations Career Kickstart program for 2024 will be run by AFL SportsReady, at the new home of the Brisbane Lions.

16 Eden Station Dr, Springfield Central, QLD

Over 6 days, Ready for Work will provide job search assistance and training to First Nations peoples, including:
  • Identifying personal and cultural strengths – setting program participants up
    with tools for personal and professional growth.
  • Employability skills – such as communication in the workplace, working in a team, problem-solving, planning, organising, and self-management.
  • Networking opportunities – with local businesses and employers to share their experiences and industry knowledge
  • Resume preparation and writing
  • Job interview skills
