Matthew Scholes has over 15 years experience in the education and sports industries and is considered a leader in innovative course design and developing experiential education programs.
In addition to being the Director of Education at AFL SportsReady, Matthew is also the Secretary General of the Victorian Commonwealth Games Association and a University lecturer presenting and conducting research into the field of positive psychology and sports coaching.
Previous roles Matthew has held include being the Vice President of Athletics Victoria, Training Director of the 2007 FINA Swimming World Championships, Course Co-ordinator of Fitness at Swinburne University, Course Co-ordinator of Public Relations at Box Hill Institute, Course Co-ordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Sports Business at Holmesglen Institute, Marketing Manager of Hawthorn Football Club and President of Melbourne University’s Sports Association.
Matthew has a Bachelor of Science with Honours and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Certificate in Sports Management from Victoria University, a Graduate certificate in Careers Education & Development from RMIT University, a Certificate in Fitness from Swinburne University and a Diploma in Vocational Education and Training from NMIT.
