NAIDOC Week Community Roadshow

NAIDOC Week is an annual community celebration that takes place across Australia and celebrate the rich culture, history, and achievements of First Nations peoples. This year AFL SportsReady, in conjunction with the National Careers Institute, is running a Community Roadshow.

To join NAIDOC celebrations, we are getting out and showing up to local events around the country to connect with our local communities and to promote the benefits of our traineeship program which has empowered over 3,000 First Nations young people to kick start their careers.

Traineeships have a positive impact in community, with many of our First Nations trainees going on to achieve great things in their workplaces. Their outstanding achievements have inspired others in the community to pursue a traineeship to create impactful and meaningful differences to their lives.

This week it’s important we get involved in community events to celebrate First Nations culture, history and strengthen our relationships with First Nations peoples so we can continue to be great allies. This week also allows us to share the impactful stories of our current and former trainees to inspire the next generation of First Nations leaders.
