DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Consumer, Marketing & Communications
• Provide all customers with an efficient, friendly, high quality service which deals with a complete range of customer enquiries for Membership.
• Attend to telephone and email enquiries from internal and external customers
• Conduct Membership sales via inbound/outbound calls
• Update and maintain accurate data through a central database system.
• Assist in the delivery of specific AFLW and AFL crowd build campaigns. Specifically, assisting with the creation of briefs, copy and paid social advertising to promote game day ticket sales.
• Assist with the marketing activities associated with the Western Bulldogs’ involvement in community events
• Assist with organising Western Bulldogs giveaways for activations
• Assist with compiling results from marketing activities and match day research for evaluation reports
• Researching world’s best practice of membership, crowd build and fan engagement activations
• Assist in the delivery of match day activations including fan zones, on field and off field marketing activations for AFL and AFLW match days
• Assist with local school visits
• Reading and responding to community requests submitted to the Western Bulldogs
• Assisting to produce editorial content for the Western Bulldogs digital channels to enhance coverage of its state league teams, which could include writing match previews, match-day information and team selection articles, covering press conferences and writing player or coach feature articles.
• Assist with shooting vision for use across the Western Bulldogs’ digital platforms.

Commercial Operations
• Provide support & assistance to the Events Manager as required on all match day and non match day events external to VU Whitten Oval
• Assisting customers in the Merchandise shop and at match days / events.
• Assisting Staff in set up and pack down for match days and events
• Assist with preparing event collateral e.g. run sheets, guests lists, place cards, reports, briefing documents etc.
• Assist with sourcing and organising entertainment, theming etc.
• Assist with preparing and completing event risk assessments
• Assist the Corporate Sales and broader Commercial team in distribution of ticketing, hospitality, including suite bookings, carpark passes and Sponsorship package entitlements throughout the AFL and AFLW seasons
• Print, bind and distribute sponsorship proposals for current and prospective partners
• Assist with the delivery of contracted benefits to key sponsors and stakeholders
• Assist with any match day signage requirements
• Assisting with refill and pricing of stock in the Merchandise stores
• Provide all customers with an efficient, friendly, high quality service which deals with a complete range of customer enquiries for Retail.
• Attend to telephone and email enquiries from internal and external customers
• Assist the Corporate Sales team in the distribution of game tickets, hospitality, and sponsorship package entitlements throughout the AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW seasons

Western Bulldogs Community Foundation
• Assist in the coordination of the planning, promotion and delivery of WBCF Health & Wellbeing, Youth and Diversity Programs
• Attend at least one program in each of the WBCF Streams – Health & Wellbeing, Youth and Diversity
• Assist with registration and other administrative processes where required.
• Assist in the generation of participant and program case studies for social media, web stories and evaluation purposes
• Support the WBCF staff with the development of program material
• Assist with phone and email correspondence with participants
• Support the delivery of participant engagement events and initiatives within the Nallei Jerring Program

AFL Men’s & AFLW Football
• Attend an AFL Men’s and AFL Women’s training session with the Indigenous Programs Manager
• Undertake a match day experience to see the behind-the-scenes workings of a football department on a match day
• Shadow the Indigenous Programs Manager whilst in the Football Department
• Provide administrative support to the Football department

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$25,000-$40,000 plus 11.5% Superannuation

  • National Training Wage Award
  • Fully Funded Qualification

  • People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
  • This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
