DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Year 9 Retreat & Outdoor Education Assistance
Work with the Year 9 Retreat Coordinator with general management and information duties, coordination of activities, challenges, incursions and excursions.
Assist the Year 9 Retreat Coordinator with administration, maintenance and facility management, making bookings, communicating with coaches, issuing Edsmart notes, keeping up-to-date records.
Liaise daily with the learning area leader of HPE to support the management, maintenance and assistance of the learning area, particularly with Outdoor Education and Duke of Edinburgh.
Be prepared to assist on camp and excursions and be prepared to be away from home during that time.
Provide support for the Sport Coordinator during peak periods of administration and set up.
Provide induction for relevant staff in running outdoor and recreation activities for classes.
Assist in any other duties as requested by the outdoor education and sports departments.
Maintenance and management of Outdoor Education Shed.
Monitoring and purchase of Retreat equipment.
Support the Outdoor and Environmental Studies teachers in classes, resourcing and learning strategies.
Assist to provide support to facilitate student learning.
Assist students to facilitate their learning in and out of the classroom.
Assist in supervision and direction of students both onsite and off site.
Liaising with external providers to organise Adventure and City Day outings.
Report incidents and injuries for team where appropriate.

SALARY
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
$21,500 – $30,000 plus 11.5% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification

- People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
- This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
