DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the delivery and implementation of participation/school programs within the ACT community in line with strategic priorities and targets as set by Basketball ACT.
• Support the delivery of existing Learn to Play Programs and provide recommendations for new programs.
• Administration, set up, promotion, advertising and co-ordination of existing and potential programs.
• Assist with BACT school holiday development camps.
• Liaise and manage relationships with key stakeholders including BACT member clubs, schools, participants, parents and venues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Basic understanding of skills development and the delivery of physical activities. Experience in Basketball playing and/or coaching desirable.
• Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate effectively and develop and maintain partnerships, networks and client relationships.
• Basic ability to set priorities, plan work programs, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Experience presenting to teachers, students and community members.
• Computer and social media literate, combined with the ability to acquire other skills as necessary (i.e. databases and programs)
• Ability to work individually, take responsibility where necessary and to work as part of a team
• Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check/Card or ability to obtain
• Completion of Year 12 Certificate

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$26,000 – $35,000 plus 11% Superannuation

  • Fully Funded Qualification
