DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Requirements:
• Maintain the school’s vision and core values at all times.
• Organise equipment required for NAS sport and ACC carnivals.
• Organise all school sporting teams’ uniforms, including washing, drying and folding.
• Manage the set-up of playing facilities prior to playing fixtures, including scoreboards, scorecards, padding, tables, chairs etc.
• Continually check equipment and report any damages.
• Liaise with all staff members, leading into carnivals.
• Complete administrative duties in preparation for College sporting events, including nominations, permission forms.
• Officiate at school or interschool carnivals.
• Set up activities and equipment for classes as required by HPE staff members.
• Organise and maintain all storeroom equipment as required.
• Assist in the organisation of excursions and camps and attend where necessary.
• Photograph classes and events where required.
• Assist with PE and Outdoor Education classes including but not limited to; hiking, biking, swimming.
• Administrative duties on behalf of the HPE staff including photocopying and maintaining digital storage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Criteria:
• Working with Children check.(or willing to obtain)
• Nationally coordinated police check. (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• The capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A sound grasp of office information and communication technology.
• A positive and welcoming attitude.
• The capacity to organise and schedule efficiently, work quickly and to deadlines.
• The ability to liaise and work positively and constructively with other members of staff, with parents and the wider community.

Tenure and Conditions:
• Employment contract with AFL SportsReady Education and Employment.
• The appointment is part-time during term time.
• Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day (recess & lunch break: 60 minutes). 30 hours per week.
• Attendance at College camps and excursions as directed from the Leader of Learning.
• All annual leave is to be taken in school holiday time.

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$21,500 – $30,000 plus 11.5% Superannuation

  • Fully Funded Qualification

MORE INFORMATION

  • People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
  • This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
