DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY OBJECTIVES
This position is responsible for providing quality experiences through program delivery and coaching to promote and grow grassroots Australian Rules Football, through School promotions, clinics, Auskick, Sporting Schools, competitions, and School holiday programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Auskick
 Deliver a quality experience by leading Auskick centres as required through best-in-class practical coaching or coach education.
 Assist with program promotion through coaching clinics and other modes of marketing within Schools and at Community Football Clubs  Program quality
 ZDL evaluation
School Football  Provide training sessions or promotional coaching clinics to involved schools where appropriate.
 Assist delivery of the game day experience for SANFL School competitions
 Assist delivery of Primary and Secondary School activities to increase participation and engagement with the game
 Team and participant registrations
 Parent engagement survey
Sporting School Programs  Sporting School programs are delivered to high quality through effective practical coaching.
 Promote Sporting School programs to stakeholders as required  School survey feedback
School Holiday Programs  Delivery of Next Step clinics and SANFL School holiday coaching clinics as instructed  ZDL evaluation
 Participant survey
SANFL Club  Engage with SANFL Club stakeholders, building relationships and Club knowledge  Stakeholder feedback
Collaboration  Engage across SANFL departments to build knowledge and assist as required
 Communicate with internal/external stakeholders as required
 Stakeholder feedback
Safety and Child Safe Environments  Promote Safeguarding children and young people principles and practices
 Provide support to Umpiring programs with safeguarding framework and compliance
 Ensure SANFL WHS policy and procedures maximise a safe work place.  WWCC compliance
 Incident reporting compliance

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$21,500 – $30,000 plus 11.5% Superannuation

  • National Training Wage Award
  • Fully Funded Qualification

MORE INFORMATION

  • People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
  • This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
