Position Overview
Reporting to the Community Football & Insights Manager, the Community Football – AFL Sportsready Trainee will perform a variety of administrative tasks and responsibilities to support the national Community Football Team – including, but not limited to:

• Support with coordination of relevant events / activities – including, but not limited to, National & State / Territory Volunteer Awards, AFL Coaching Courses & Community Umpiring Week. This may include such activities as – maintaining database lists, communication to/from guests & winners, flight & accommodation bookings, payment of invoices, developing & overseeing an itinerary etc.
• Assist the Community Football team and the Community Engagement team with communication, marketing, social media initiatives (including eDMs) to the respective stakeholder groups
• Review of content (videos, documents, website content) to help ensure accuracy of quality resources
• Coordinate feedback and review surveys as required
• Support with setting up of webinars and workshops as required
• Review, summarise and communicate survey feedback to all relevant internal stakeholders
• Attend relevant team meetings and, where required / directed, manage:
o meeting bookings (room bookings &/or on-line)
o circulation of agendas & papers in advance
o timely drafting of meeting notes for approval and circulation when approved &
o monitor agreed actions in conjunction with the respective Leads
• Other tasks as set by (or agreed to by) the Community Football Projects & Insights Manager

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$21,500 – $30,000 plus 11% Superannuation

  • National Training Wage Award
  • Fully Funded Qualification
