The Venue Operations Trainee will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Venue Management Operations team. This role focuses on assisting with the coordination of events, liaising with clients and helping with event setup, delivery and pack-down. The Trainee will also contribute to the preparation of event documentation and manage event services required to execute successful events at the City’s venues.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist the Venue Management team by preparing event documentation, including event sheets and floor plans, seeking quotes, arranging purchase orders and preparing weekly reports. The role involves liaising with both internal and external clients, providing prompt and accurate information regarding their booking requirements. Additionally, the Trainee will support the team during event setup, operation and pack-down and may also be involved in the delivery of events when required.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Trainee to gain hands-on experience in venue operations and event management. The role requires someone who can work within tight timeframes, establish productive relationships with stakeholders and maintain a high standard of accuracy while managing multiple deadlines. The Trainee will also be expected to contribute to team discussions and decision-making processes, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. This traineeship is not available to people with tertiary qualifications and current university applicants may need to defer their studies to be eligible. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

National Training Wage from: $25,000, plus 11.5% Superannuation
