Athletics SA is a not for profit, community focused organisation offering athletics competitions and services for athletes of a variety of ages and abilities.

The Member and Administration Trainee will assist in membership services, office and finance administration, and event support, contributing to an inclusive and positive experience for all members and visitors. This position is essential to improving the delivery and customer experience of Athletics SA’s primary offerings, including those presented through its sub-brand, Running SA.

Key Responsibilities: The Member and Administration Trainee will support various key organisational and administrative functions. Responsibilities include maintaining the organisation’s CRM database for registered athletes, coaches, and other members, assisting the Operations Manager with ongoing CRM operations, and managing the annual membership renewal program. The Trainee will also serve as the first point of contact for customer service inquiries, assist with governance administration, and support finance tasks, such as data entry in Xero. Additionally, they will provide crucial support to the Events Manager in event registrations, check-ins, and general customer service at Athletics SA events, and coordinate club conferences, meetings, and awards presentations.

This role reports to the Operations & Events Manager and requires close collaboration with Athletics SA staff and volunteers to deliver efficient membership, office, and event support. The Trainee will have daily interactions with Athletics SA’s internal team, affiliated clubs, Athletics Australia, sponsors, and members, supporting an organised and welcoming environment.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation

This role is suitable for recent secondary school leavers
