At Mount Eliza Secondary College a collaborative and personalised approach supports students and staff as active learners. We work to empower students to be their best by questioning their experiences, expressing themselves with confidence and participating in local, national and global communities.

As a Sports/PE Trainee, you will work within the Health and PE team at the college, assisting with both administrative tasks, hands-on support during Sport Education and Physical Education classes. You will be under the guidance of the Sport Leader and Principal Class team, playing a key role in the smooth operation of sporting events and student skill development.

Key Responsibilities: Your duties will include data collation and entry into ICT platforms, generating sporting events on the college COMPASS platform and calendar and communicating with staff, students and families about upcoming events. You will be responsible for overseeing student consent data, organising and maintaining sports equipment and storage areas, and supporting the Sport Leader during college carnivals. Additional responsibilities include attending network sport meetings, supervising at interschool sports, assisting PE teachers and coaches in developing student skills. You will also attend and help supervise several outdoor education camps throughout the year.

There may be additional duties required at the direction of the Sport Leader or Principal Team. As a Sports/PE Trainee, you will have a varied role that contributes to the overall success of the Health and PE department, with opportunities to gain practical experience in both sports administration and student development. People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation
