Supporting School Departments

Supporting School Departments

Schools have always been great supporters of our program, as trainees provide specialist support services designed to ease the time pressures all teachers face. Young people have shown during this pandemic that they are reliable, adaptable, and have the necessary skill set to help businesses transition to new technologies – allowing staff to get on with their job of developing programs and assisting school students’ learning.

HOW OUR SCHOOL PROGRAM CAN HELP

We will work with you to employ a trainee. It’s a great way to get the extra support you may need to help deliver better learning outcomes for your students. Our typical trainee is contracted out to you at $17/hour*

A Traineeship is a paid, employment and education training program that gives young people a nationally recognised qualification.

ArtsReady manages the trainees pay, leave, superannuation and WorkCover.

WHY US

ArtsReady is a program of AFL SportsReady, having taken the successful AFL SportsReady model and applied it to the arts and creative industries.

AFL SportsReady is a not-for-profit company dedicated to helping young Australians develop careers through traineeship and educational opportunities.

Throughout our history, we have a proven track record in working with schools in metropolitan and regional areas, achieving excellent results for the schools and trainees, which is why schools continue to partner with us year on year. It is not a coincidence that in the past 20 years, our trainees in schools continue to account for the vast majority of winners of our trainee of the year.

Our model is a proven pathway to an education career, 65% of our trainees that work in schools go onto University and many of those go on to study teaching.

*Statistics based on our class of 2018 and the national estimated completion rate (National Centre for Vocational Education Research, Adelaide).
