AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting 12 month, fixed-term position available for an experienced and dynamic Executive Assistant, to be based at our head office in Abbotsford, Melbourne.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a positive and flexible NFP organisation, working with the Senior Management Team. This role will primarily focus on providing high-level, confidential, efficient and professional administrative support to the CEO.

As an experienced Executive Assistant, you will have the ability to manage competing priorities, monitor workflows and develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation. With a positive and can-do attitude, well-developed organisational, planning and time-management skills, you will play a significant role within the CEO office and the organisation. The successful candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running, is a professional team player and a good communicator and consistently demonstrates initiative to ensure all aspects of their role are performed to a high standard.

• Preparation and distribution of papers and management of action items for Board, Sub-committee and Executive meetings

• Minimum three years' experience in an Executive-level Assistant role
• Able to demonstrate strengths in planning, scheduling and managing competing workflows
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-developed written communication skills
• Ability to exercise judgement and demonstrate political astuteness
• Ability to juggle daily competing priorities to deliver high-quality work within designated timeframes
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Ability to both follow and establish systems and processes to maintain accurate records
• Demonstrated capacity to work within a team environment, operating within delegated authority, sharing information and seeking assistance, working with Senior Executives and key staff where appropriate to achieve outcomes
• Exercising discretion and tact in dealing with confidential information and sensitive matters
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs
• Demonstrated understanding and practice of respect for people across a range of backgrounds and cultures
